The Proto Light Curing Unit is a compact 36 Watt UV post-curing device for use with all Asiga 3D Additive Manufacturing Systems. Oxygen free post-curing is required to cure UV resin printed parts. Curing in air causes oxygen inhibition which stops the polymerization process so using this unit requires that parts made of most UV printed resins be post cured in a UV transparent liquid. We recommend using a 50/50 mix of our Curing Gel and DI water mixed briskly until it goes completely clear. Putting this liquid in a Pyrex dish is best since Pyrex (boro-silicate glass), is 93% UV transparent.
